My top ten 2014

My top ten reads this year have been, in no particular order:

1. The Ladies’ Paradise – Emile Zola

2. On Beauty – Zadie Smith

3. The Enchantress of Florence – Salman Rushdie

4. Moby Dick, or the White Whale – Herman Melville (still half way through this one, but it’s fantastic)

5. How to Dispose of Dead Elephants – Andrew Gretes

6. Shame – Salman Rushdie

7. Cat’s Cradle – Kurt Vonnegut

8. Dubliners – James Joyce

9. Eva Luna – Isabel Allende

10. The Hotel on the Roof of the World: Five Years in Tibet – Alec le Sueur

So there you have it! Let’s see what this year brings, and if you’re stuck for a resolution come January 1st promise to read more!!
